About Me

Hi, nice to meet you…

My name is Elio and Chinese name is YanHe. I am a person who see media not just as a tool for communication, but as a medium for memory, identity, and transformation. Growing up in Changchun, a city shaped by shifting histories and industrial stillness, I was always drawn to visual storytelling — to the quiet poetry of everyday life and the tension between place and self.

That sensibility stayed with me as I moved to New York, where I interned at Developed Images, a fashion photography magazine with an eye for cultural relevance. There, I led new media promotion across platforms, collaborated with international photographers, and produced visuals around themes like women’s reproductive rights and minimalist aesthetics. Our campaigns boosted social engagement by 30%, but more importantly, taught me how artistic strategy can drive meaningful visibility.

This blend of artistry and impact is the core of my personal site where I curate cross-cultural media projects and visual essays. One of my most personal works, Return, is a photographic tribute to my hometown — a reflection on absence, memory, and how place shapes perception. It’s in works like this that I connect media with emotional and cultural roots.

I am passionate about recording some trivial things in life, some small things that move me. I hope these stories can touch you as well — reminding us that even the quietest moments can carry meaning, if we choose to look closely.

我的名字是颜赫。我是一个喜欢用媒体记录生活,讲述故事的人。我热衷于记录一些生活中琐碎的小事,一些让我感动的小事。我希望这些故事同样能打动你
